Way, way too much going on in my brain. potential 'work stoppage'. AKA as a strike. Trying to get month-end work done in case of the afore mentioned 'ws'. Thinking about NJ. Hoping people are nice. I know that is probably too much to ask for....what do I pack for something like this? Steel-toed boots for sure, and the ten pounds of documentation I received in two HUGE binders while in training...
so, okay, around the casa:
Argos is going to have a bar code shortly. apparently vets can now inject a very small (I'm hoping for her sake) bar code thingy just under her skin that can be read, if she is ever lost and taken to a vet, by a universal bar code reader. They can then call us and let us know that she has been found and we can be joyfully reunited. I told Erin that she can also be swiped at the comissary now. I wonder how much she would ring up for...
stinking funny, (at least to me.) people with way too much time on their hands.
in still other news:
a couple of good DVDs recently... goodnight mister tom, and hairspray. I think we are going to have to own a copy of hairspray. (john travolta, amazingly funny, and christopher walken, hilarious!) reminds me of this.
more news:
this is the time of year when I begin to wonder into my closet and gaze longingly at the top shelf where all my sweaters are currently hybernating...will I EVER be able to wear those again? Will this blast furnace that is our out of doors cause our trees and vegetation to sponteously combust? uugghhHHH. current local temp? 101.
then I think happy thoughts about february and what has become a tradition in recent years...
There were so many pictures I had to cut the slide show in half, so part II will be posted soon.
This one contains pictures of the palace gardens in Austria, Munich and Dachau. While I was putting this together I realized what a good photographer she is...(even with Gary popping up once in a while...)
I'll see if I can pin her down to give us some commentary on the pictures too.
For some reason I can't down load the pictures off my nikon from the airport at the moment. however here is one from lauren's camera. here she is with her german elementary students.
PEACE.
it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. ~~ unknown
